Chapel Hike in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore -- Post 4

Today I will post the remaining photos taken during the Chapel Loop hike I went on the other day.

While eating lunch sitting on a sandstone formation at Mosquito Beach, this seagull hung out with us the whole time.




The photo below is looking east from our lunch spot.  Our intention was to swim to what I call the "Fred Flintstone" cave seen in the upper left.  However, the waves hitting the rock were making weird and dangerous currents.  Instead, we sat on the rocks and were "waved" by Lake Superior.  It was fun.







A large white pine tree is barely hanging on by its roots.

While heading back toward the car, I took a few photos of the fungi and club moss....
