Mount Pleasant, MI Hike

While in Mount Pleasant this past weekend, I went on a hike with friends at the Deerfield Nature Park. It was cold and brisk with temperatures in the low 20s and the chill factor in the low teens.  We walked along the river and then back the center path.

Here is a shot of Steve and Kathy in front of the covered bridge.

Inside the covered bridge there were these two signs.

Along the river there was this natural spring bubbling up through the pipe.

Ice formation around the natural spring.

There were many ecosystems within the park, including this cool forest.

During the hike we spotted this huge hive.  It was at least two feet tall.
